Capacity Planning Manager – Semiconductor (Austin, TX)

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Samsung Austin Semiconductor has broad semiconductor process technology offerings serving customers in various application areas including mobile, consumer, networking/high performance computing, Internet of Things, RF and automotive. Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a self-motivated, well-organized engineering leader, with demonstrated leadership qualities and expertise in Manufacturing, Capacity, and Fab Operations, to fill the Capacity Manager role within the Production and Systems team.

1. The Manager will work in a demanding tactical operations and strategic management role. 
2. He or she will be required to analyze production scenarios, create project plans, and influence others in order to meet challenging production plans, and review capacity status within executive meetings.
3. Work with engineering teams to improve daily operations and optimize tool performance.
4. Collaborate with manufacturing members on shift operations and follow-up on issues to resolution.
5. Organize capacity up projects to drive on time completion of projects in order to meet aggressive output targets.
6. Hire and train capacity planning engineers.
7. Give regular updates on capacity status and needs.
8. Work days and hours: 1st-Shift, M-F 8am to 5pm.
9. B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other related Engineering or Applied Mathematics Major will be considered.
10. Knowledge of Line Metrics – OEE, Rundown, Equipment Efficiency, UPEH, APT, TAT, Queueing Theory
11. Experience with SQL, Splunk, Spotfire or other analytics tools a plus.
12. 5+ years’ experience with Automated Manufacturing or Semiconductor FAB a plus.
